What I'd like to see more of is a reason for me to take any Crab Hero that isn't Kuon, Kosho or Tatsuma. My Hero deck has less Crab personalities in it than Ronin ones, to the point where I'm practically playing Ronin out of a Crab box.

I hear ya on the ronin deck, at the St Louis Kotei in one game, I had BOTH of my Uniteds in my hand and didn't see a single Crab personality the entire game...but then again I was running 11 Ronin in the deck.

Now to scouts. Scouts is a great deck design but when Crane, and to some extent Unicorn, get better scouts than Crab you have to say "Okay WTF guys!"

Crane scouts are better because they have maps.

Berserkers: I love them. Best decktype out of SPC imo. But I would like to see more of them being samurai, and not just because i think it would be funny to Unwavering assault a 7F berserker against a province strength of 6. Simply because Crab embody my most favorite part of a soldier, and that while i love the untamable savagery that comes hand in hand with the adrenaline from the thought of it being you or them (berserkers) they're still soldiers, and therefore should have the samurai keyword.

Heroes: I like heroes for all of the control they have over what happens to them via the fate hand, but thats also why i dont like them. They're too fate reliant. Perhaps if there were more built in reactions that negated movement or bowing (cuz 3x setting sun strike + SPC just isnt enough sometimes), then I might like them a little better.

Scouts: Honestly, pure crab scout for me equals pure fail. Now the reason i say that isnt because of the mediocre force or the base abilities, or even the fate hand. I just think that, overall, scouts need a better way to lay down recons. Even a well-constructed scout deck can empty anywhere from 1/4 to half their fate hand before they even go into battle. Perhaps if recon actions were reactions instead of limited or opens... and I only say that because while great on the offense, they suck on the defense. Most good crab personalities require a recon to target the province or they have to bow( and again, there isnt enough unbow in the environment to balance this out).

Commander: Like Kanosei said, they're too follower reliant without a way to protect their ever-so-important followers.

If I wasn't such a Crane hater, I'd use him as well. We've got a few 'good' Scouts though - Seiko, Hidora, Toshio, and Tennyo are pretty nice. Still, I find it odd that Crane Scouts are better than ours (and I'm not contesting this - it's bloody well true), but ours is more... competitive, or at least, seen as sucking not as hard as Crane Scouts as a decktype. WTF.

Honestly, I made that crab/crane out of shiro daidoji and it was on mantis level as far as ranged attacks go. With Toritaka Okabe being the buffer to make my ranged 6 against gold cost a ranged 7-9 without an Arrows Do Not Falter, I easily took out most low cost/force oni, courtiers, and I even took down a Unicorn commander deck.

Very much fun to be a Crabane Scouter.

Weird question from your token Crane infiltraitor (Daidoji maps ... gotta love 'em!)

Are you happy with your current military win condition across the board?

Would you like to see a NON-military win condition supported by Crab cards and, if so, which one? (Honor, Dishonor, Enlightenment, something new?)

It's ok but could be better. I'd like to see Crab get more abilities printed on them or more options for military than what we're getting now. Right now some of the stuff we're getting needs a serious amount of reconsideration, most Crab heroes decks relies on a lot of Ronin (which is just wrong IMO). Commanders still aren't where I'd like them to be and it's already half way through the arc. Scouts and Zerks are pretty decent and competitive and I can't complain about them.

Honor and Enlightenment wouldn't be half-bad. I wasn't around for the Kaiu Walls deck of Gold Ed but those stories of that deck definitely fascinate me.
