Firstly it blows they gave him such a powerful trait, but secondly he would just be the first to Die, die most horribly. Hell man I am annoyed at the fact it seems Paneki and Chagatai both have our champions former traits. One adds a cost, one negates a bowing each phase. I mean I got to the point the other night, playing, where I sent someone with Kuon just to ensure he didn't get killed first up, then he was just sent home with Refugees, so he did nothing anyway. I love our Champ, just feel like we got a little bit ripped off. I mean while on paper he's min 2f 2c thing seems good, if it was against a ranged Mantis deck, in the end they would out force us, or just outright kill us after reducing our force. Anyway the design team seem to just not care about our clan, personally thats how I feel. In Lotus we were the only clan not to get some sort of awesome boost, in Sam ed everyone else seems to be rocketing ahead with new ideas and very focused themes and well attainable win conditions. We have been ignored. We are supposed to win battles with our huge force, but like always it is just too easily dealt with.

Sorry for another rant its just how I feel about it all and that feeling would be pissed off and annoyed. I hope design read this maybe they will wake up!

Paneki just isn't a good champion. Who cares if every time you target you lose 1 honor.
He is cheap and easy to kill. Most of the time I find that I have a hired killer in my
hand so they don't even have him for an entire turn before he dies. So I lose 4 honor instead of 3 for my hired killer.
His other ability is just bad......

Yeah Penookie is a biatch and he does have an annoying ability but I still think we can work around him.

Yeah I agree he can be easily dealt with, there are other things that annoy me more. He would be my first kill if he was there, and if he wasn't, well no issue then. But it still annoys me that he is like exp4 Kuon's old discard a card added cost. I really do love the Crab, they fit me well, I would just like them to be powerful. I mean there was a glimmer with the Razor of the Dawn Castle, but the rules team "made up" a template for the trait, to make it 'less broken'....yeah whatever. Take a long hard look at the broken ass crap that is the Mantis strongholds, they just keep on working battle after battle, ranged attack after ranged attack, broken shit if you ask me.

Anyway, we'll see.

Paneki, true, can be easily dealt with like most peeps, the thing is that a true Scorp deck that makes you loose honor like it is going out of style with added "every action you do is Suspicions" is a bit annoying. He does wear a HUGE target on himself going into battle but I have not seen a Scorp deck not come standard issue with a Seat of Power or Misdirection.

1) I target Paneki with my stronghold to kill him

1a) Loose one honor for doing that; now...

2) Misdirection you actually targeted this courtier and killed him

2a) Share the Blame, Assigning Blame

3) Cry cause you just lost 7 honor and pretty much cost you the game

It's as though I've had some personal experience with this...

If you can't handle 7 points of honor loss, you need to rethink your deck

EDIT: If he Misdirects to ANYTHING, he cannot Share the Blame, as he is now choosing targets, instead of you. Read the cards carefully. Especially with the MRPs.

I did rethink my deck after that happend and did put in contingencies for honor loss, as for that MRP, I will be reading more cards.

I never said I was a know it all I am prone to mistakes from time to time.
