I am surprised no one has discussed this yet. With all the negation in a yasuki deck, i think this might just be worth the investment. Plus, Yasuki Knives needs a bigger knife.

As I told you on our discussion the other day, discarding cards helps military a lot but doesn't really help control decks. Especially when it's so restricted like that. This needs a dishonorable personality to perform something while opposing the guy with the sword. And even then, he just chooses and discards a card.

If I am facing Yasuki or any other dishonor with a military deck, I certainly have some cards that I don't really care losing, and I can definitely work around this sword. (Sundering Strike, other unperformed actions and certainly just discarding something).

Probably a way to use it is a Kitsuki build with Kitsuki methods and Dragon Honesty focusing on discard. But, I doubt that WED will bother.

The only way I see this Item shining for us is if there's a decent Yasuki Military deck, and preferably out of Hida. And while I'm a huge fan of The First Law of Georgopoulos, which states: "Real world data trumps playtest theory" (Or as some boffins would have you naively call it, "The Scientific Method."), I just can't imagine a way for Yasuki Military to ever have the consistency to be above a 3rd tier deck. And anyone who knows me, knows I love railing against our clan norms when it comes to deck building, so I am open to that discussion, obviously in other threads and whatnot. Having said that, all this, I'll likely be at the event, and if a Crab wins, is there any particular way this is supposed to be swayed? I'm assuming the elephant.

The second being: "Everything plays better out of KHexp".

Its almost tailor made for the deck I want to work.
3F 1C Barswanian - 3HR - 1GC - 2PH
Crab Clan * Loyal * Lorekeeper * Jade Hand
When Barswanian comes into play he forgets what he's doing, remove him from the game.
If Barswanian is removed from the game, place him in one of the opponent's provinces face-up. He got lost! If there is another card in the province, discard Barswanian: he forgot what he was doing again.
If Barswanian is in the discard pile, place him on the top of his owner's dynasty deck.
