I like it, but I have so much of a soft spot for Ronin I cannot pretend to be unbiased.

I do have a question, however. It is so weak, does the rewarding of points to the Empire really matter? Is winning with this thing likely?

This seems like fun, and I hope it becomes legal. Reese already stated on the main forum that the Ronin must defeat a challange that doesn't involve just winning Kotei. Hoping it works out and they give ronin some sort of holding too.

Considering I started the game with TA, I love me some ronin - so I'll take two decks to the 2 kotei I am going to. The first will be crab, and if I don't make the cut, I'll play with the ronin on the second day (both UK kotei are 2 day events :) )....unless I change my mind :HIDA:

Tsubo the drunk might even appear from the binder :)

Do I think it is liable to win anything? I have my doubts. It can't afford the large ronin personalities, and yet, if the new hero monk could come out and reduce half of their gold costs by a further 2 (for a 3g discount total) then mid-game you can flood the table (perhaps). I'm even thinking that furry little critter keukogen or something might be useful in the deck to play with debt collectors (for another 3g holding).

Wonder if the "ignore honor requirements" also applies to ronin followers and their honor requirements for attaching. Seems like it could be a pretty interesting stronghold. Must toy with it...

It says "entering play," so no. Followers don't have an honor requirement for entering play, but they have an honor requirement for attaching.
You lost the game.

The follower can't enter play if your personality doesn't meet it's honor Req... just sayin'

Greetings!!!

I like it, and I like that it looks like a challenge to the ronin players...or more specifically, a challenge to the sudden flood of whiners who said that they played ronin and were angry that their SHs from IG2 got nuked. Well folks, the challenge has been laid at your feet and now I wonder how many of those 'ronin players' will try for their shot of glory and a CE-legal ronin SH?

Maybe they should spend more time working on their decks and less jumping back and forth on the bandwagons eh?

And yes, I hope the ronin fans who have not been the force behind the en masse whining can muster up and win this. Players make the difference, and here's hoping!
See ya!!!
