I might try to build a Tactician deck with this SH.

It really depends on your school of thought. I've always preferred pursuing my victory condition, rather than preventing my opponent's.

Sometimes it's the same thing. If I stop the opponent from playing his best actions on me, I am in a very good way to boost my way of winning. It's not that Berseker or big people decks suddenly got too complicated and got out of the way to stop a strategy. Winning battles is the way to achieve my win condition, and HoF does an amazing job in winning battles.

You don't only win in the trade if you kill something.

^ QFT. I won too many games I should not, just because I have HOF. I tried mentally substituting BT into each of the scenarios and I would have lost it. But that's not fair. BT requires a whole different approach, needing to create a more blitzy dynasty, and a more defensive fate. With HOF it's often the opposite. I certainly wasn't expecting a Berserker(sort of) stronghold, but having two ways to play the big guys is quite alright.

ps - echoing several others that I was kinda hoping it's siege-support, seeing that's the least developed among all our themes really.

HoF is still better for me, but of course, this is a pretty damn good 2nd/other option. Just making Bakishi better may be enough for some.

But this SH is very easy for me to play around as a Unicorn player, i can make my ponies consistently bigger than the berserkers in the battles i choose to oppose (due to cav + big attachments), whereas HoF is always going to be good against a wider variety of decks. (E.g. this is also so so against heavy attachment decks, especially KH Exp, also not great against honor decks, who don't care about their boxable sacificial lambs, not good against decks that outforce you like Kensai, Oni, Full Metal Jacket decks, may even suffer against mirror when they other guy gets Sakti and you don't).

Is it fair to compare stronghold's based on relative power for a single theme by setting them against each other? Just to find which one is better; and how one compares to the other in terms of playstyle and relative power?

How do you guys see a Berserker deck out of this vs. running it out of HoF? How would Tactician's run out of this? Can we resurrect Dark Crab with Oni's/Beefy Non-human's out of BT? Would super-friends be viable out of this?

I think a superfriends deck would be equally fun out of this or KHxp.

I still think it would be slightly better out of KHxp, but you could almost make some weird, quasi kensai deck with Kisada, the new Mantis guy, some Spider monks and whatever else. Just put in Low Markets and the slew of other attachment holdings/regions and go with it.

I believe this stronghold is good, but I dont think berserkers are better out of it.

Halls adds a very unique, strong mechanic to the mix. Delay is the abstract that powers berserkers to the level they are now. its the unique X-factor (not counting duel delay cards) that makes every deck play against you a specific way. There's a lot of decks where I have to worry about recursive kill and hate, but none where my best action can get shrugged off till later as consistently.

The ability to play around it is always present, but more stress is presented to the opponent when halls is the stronghold used imo. (when it comes to BERSERKER decks)

that's my 2c. I am glad it works with unbowed personalities too.

I love all talk of which box is better for zerks. Zerks can keep HoF, I don't care...
