TSE Preview: Grief

Postby Yasuki Kanosei » Tue Jun 12, 2012 3:28 am

From the TSE Countdown

Grief
0GC

You may only play one copy of Grief in reaction to any one resolution.

Reaction: After an action resolves whose effects destroyed a player's Personality, target a Personality controlled by the same player: He is overcome with grief. Dishonor him. His controller loses Honor equal to his base Personal Honor.

"Why can I not forget?"

FV 3

=======================
Mostly awesome for the Yasuki deck, and a pain in the arse for all of our other decks except for maybe Berserkers. I expect to see this chained with Words Have Strength and Ikke's reaction, to make me lose 7 - 8 honour in one hit for most of my military decks.
Crab Clan * Samurai * Courtier * Taskmaster * Aggressive * Kolat

Wow. Seppuku counts as an action that destroys a personality right? DAM!

It feels like this is more of a Scorpion magistrate card.

Fixed that for you

No room for this in decks, there is better punish for high honor clans.

The fact that it's useless against low honour decks, is it's death knell.

I know my friend would love this card, since he can range a dishonoured personality and make you lose honour, dishonour and then make you lose more honour.

Why do people play Astonishing Accusation if this is a bad card? : /

Because it is less dependent on your opponent, and interaction.

that being said, Astonishing is bad for dishonor

How is this even similar to Astonishing accusation?

This is triggered after a death, while Astonishing only checks for dishonor status. It also have a very nice reaction attached to it.

I'm just measuring it in terms of how much giggles I would get were I to play against zero honour decks.
