Bob has had a card for ages, since Gold Edition. He just got this new version (if you don't know) from the players auction last Gen Con at the L5R world champs this year. He was voted as personality most "wanted to be Exp'ed".

Congrats Bob.

God damnit another awesome unique personality to try to cram into my deck.

Actually on that note based on Todd's comment below cross posted from Dragon forums it looks like we are gaining 5 Personalities in this set (or failing that 4 personlities and a Retainer Holding like Spider Unicorn)

Does any one know who our most represented contender was?

Not exactly Dragon heavy, but all of your EC/JC characters were already shown thanks to the wiley Shawn Carman using Narumi in a fiction.

Wait...there were only three Dragon personalities in this set? Dang. I hope the promos are good.

Every Clan got the following:

1. Their most represented contender.
2. Their Clan Council choice for the Throne.
3. A new non-unique.

Then some clans got additional characters based on winning events, such as Hiruma Todori winning the Yojimbo event.

Also is anyone else starting to see the beginnings of Crab Defensive/battle Honour.

Kuon 3 hnr
Yagimaki 4 hnr
Fumetsu 3 hnr
Jinn-Kuen Courtier plus holding straighten
Ochiyo and Umibe Seeking the Way, Touch of Ice

Castle Holdings
Prepared Defense
Yobanjin Alliance

Hmm.

Let me work on it.

Posting my thoughts in the more appropiate Deck Forum.

If all you can see are still beginnings, then you have a lot of work ahead of you. ;)

hmmmm i hate honor reqs on crabs but bob is bob... would have been nice to see him get a boost in force like 6/4 or even 5/5, but given the action and the trait i can understand why he's 4/4. It's missing the honored or revered sensei trait... but sake master totally makes up for that. 4 honor makes my heart melt. 9 gold is a little steep but totally worth it.

Kilburn and several others at GenCon this year politiked their butts off and were able to get this card for me. I was overwhelmed when Jeremy called me. Yes, Crabs can cry, but tears of joy and appreciation. For those of you that don't know it my lovely wife of 36 years is in hospice dying from pancreatic cancer. And that is why the text along the side has her name as well.

The L5R community is the one of the finest groups of people with whom I have the privilege of being associated. The people in this game are as polite, friendly and brilliant as any other on the planet. I have gotten so much camaraderie, friendship and old fashioned fun from this community that I am humbled when they do deed like this.

Every game of L5R tells a story. My imagination is allowed to run loose in every game. I will continue to play and enjoy this game and it's community as long as I am able.

Greetings!!!

Finally! The Final version. Sake Master indeed true. Looks like I'll have to bring more sake covers, or 'this Hida's drunk' testers. ;)

An excellent card and an excellent player, sensei and friend.

Thoughts and prayers continue for the missus, Bob. Cherish the time and hold fast to the memories.
See ya!!!

Excellent card sir, and perhaps the best flavor text and traits I have ever seen. You (and the wonderful people who made this gesture) make me even prouder to be a Crab Bob. UTZ!!! :HIDA: :HIDA: :HIDA:
