Kuni Witch Hunter

Dear Crab,

I am soon to take part in an L5R 3rd Ed game, and I really wish to play a trekker down of Maho-Tsukai. Of course Kuni Witch Hunters are an obvious choice, however I am not to keen on playing a Shugenja. So I have two questions one; anything I could play? Two what cool reasons can you give me to play a Kuni Witch Hunter?

Tsukai Tsugasu are also bushi. They have the school in the 3rd edition web suplement.
Rob McColl---- Still the worst Crab KOLAT player.

Witch Hunter Bushi are awesome in 3E  Sad to say, they are much less useful in 4E for general use (though if they actually ARE facing a tainted thingy, they're rockstars)

Also, in 3E the Kuni had access to the (arguably) most powerful tech in the game...Tokaji's Power/Might (might have the name wrong here) which is the ONLY OFFICIAL WAY a Shugenja can mulitschool into a bushi class.

Path isn't in the basic book, it's in errata...somewhere...you should be able to find it in the massive school list that's floating around though.

It's found within the 3rd Edition Update Project. You can probably find it on the AEG website somewhere.

Editing is mine ... because when it reads this way, there is nothing more that needs be said. Pure Awesome.
Not that I'm biased, or anything, or that there's any favorite characters of mine that might lead to that opinion.

I take it you haven't seen them in 4E from Great Clans yet...

Kuni Witch Hunters are very good at their specialised role, hunting down Tainted individuals and Shadowlands creatures. Outside of that role, i.e., 98% of L5R, they're piss weak. When playing as one, be prepared for that certainty.
